لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

for the God-conscious.

بِالْغَيْبِ

in the unseen,

وَالَّذِينَ

wa-alladhīna

And those who

يُوقِنُونَ

yūqinūna

firmly believe.

سَمْعِهِمْ

their hearing,

غِشَاوَةٌ

ghishāwatun

(is) a veil.

بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

bimu'minīna

(are) believers (at all).

وَبِالْيَوْمِ

wabil-yawmi

and in the Day

يُخَادِعُونَ

yukhādiʿūna

They seek to deceive

وَالَّذِينَ

wa-alladhīna

and those who

يَخْدَعُونَ

yakhdaʿūna

they deceive

2:9

وَمَا

wamā

and not

اللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah,

الْحَمْدُ

al-ḥamdu

All praises and thanks

الْعَالَمِينَ

l-ʿālamīna

of the universe

مَالِكِ

māliki

(The) Master

إِيَّاكَ

iyyāka

You Alone

نَسْتَعِينُ

nastaʿīnu

we ask for help.

الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

l-mus'taqīma

the straight.

أَنْعَمْتَ

anʿamta

You have bestowed (Your) Favors

الْمَغْضُوبِ

l-maghḍūbi

those who earned (Your) wrath

الضَّالِّينَ

l-ḍālīna

(of) those who go astray.

قُلُوبِهِمْ

their hearts

اللَّهُ

Allah

الْكِتَابُ

وَيُقِيمُونَ

and establish

رَزَقْنَاهُمْ

We have provided them

وَبِالْءَاخِرَةِ

wabil-ākhirati

and in the Hereafter

يُؤْمِنُونَ

yu'minūna

believe

إِلَيْكَ

ilayka

to you

2:4

مِنْ

عَلَى

(are) on

رَبِّهِمْ

their Lord,

الْمُفْلِحُونَ

(are) the successful ones.

النَّاسِ

the people

ءَامَنَّا

"We believed

الْءَاخِرِ

[the] Last,"

يَشْعُرُونَ

they realize (it).
